Welcome to Love Thy Vegan! I am so glad you are here….
Ever since I adopted a vegan lifestyle, my friends and family bombarded me with questions like—- What will you eat? What about make-up? How will you stay warm without wool? Can you eat out? Can’t you just buy organic dairy and eggs? and the classic (you guessed it!)…What about protein? Additionally, having been raised in India I also faced questions like—Are your in-laws ok with this? Your husband doesn’t mind? What about special food for holidays and religious rituals?—WOW!!!
I soon realized that there is a lack of awareness and abundance of misinformation floating around, causing confusion and misconceptions about veganism. A lot of people think that being a vegan involves giving up things you like and suffering health consequences, which is far from the truth.
In fact, adopting a vegan lifestyle has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Everyday I am rewarded with a sense of empowerment and purpose, an array of opportunities for self-growth and energy to pursue my dreams.
To me veganism is a way of life whereby we nourish our body, mind and soul while causing minimum damage to other earthlings with whom we share this planet.
Love Thy Vegan is a vegan lifestyle blog where you can find information about various aspects of veganism such as recipes, cruelty-free fashion & beauty, religion & veganism, socializing with non-vegans, restaurant reviews and so much more.
The purpose of this blog is to create awareness and to inspire others to adopt a responsible, compassionate lifestyle. My goal is to relay concise information to you in the simplest and most easily accessible manner. In doing so I hope I am able to make a difference in the lives of my fellow human and non-human friends.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran of vegan lifestyle or a newbie, or a curious ‘on the fence’ non-vegan, or even a devout omnivore trespassing for new recipes! I hope the resources on this blog can be of some use to you.
